I started my first job
Success in a previous workplace leads me to a new country. I become manager where I serviced over 240 guest stays and 620 individual customers, mostly English speaking and some national. Heads up local marketing and sales by responding to all inquiries within 24 hours resulted in a booking rate of over 90% and a vacancy rate at less than 11%. Scheduling staff shifts to cover peaks and lulls in guest’ inquiries. I maintained up-to-date knowledge of Airbnb and Booking.com products and technology changes.
Then pandemia came and my career had to take a break..
I had the opportunity to try myself in something new. The challenge I had little knowledge. In the summertime, I am responsible for screening and scheduling reservations, and correspondence with all guest inquiries. Wich means arbitrate adjustments of rates and availabilities. Getting fully involved in almost all aspects showcased a consistent record of excellent customer service resulting in achieving 5-star ratings and Superhost Status for 10 consecutive quarters.
Baby is born. Not literally but this restaurant is like a baby for me. I made a big decision to change my career path and try something totally different. Together with my sister, we decided to open this local.
As with almost all start-ups beginnings were very hard. Especially, when you are new in the sector and need to learn a lot quickly. Accounting, human resources management, taking track of supply chain, creating marketing strategies, providing training for new stuff and so on.
As well as mastering old universal abilities like crisis solving problems, work optimization, teamwork, customer service.
I grew, our baby grew with us. Being reshape by our hands literally, as we planned and executed interior and exterior improvements. I used my manual skills and I get into the design by preparing leaflets, banners, logos, menus all of that in the printed as well as a digital versions.
With time we significantly increased the number of customers, maintain high-quality standards, as a result, we have become the leading example of best in the industry.
It was my first time when I thought of a future web developer career.
As I am develop driven I moved to this major company. This time I was part of a team of 8. We were responsible for expanding and maintaining one of the largest sectors of the city Poznan. With over 20 000 customers, I continue to work on my customer service skills, this time it was FTTB/FTTH type network with cable television and VoIP services integrated. I get insight into new technologies available in the sector along with new equipment and installation standards.
Facing a vastly expanded queue of customers waiting to be linked to our grid, I proposed few small optimizations for our workflow. Being accepted by superior and hard work of the team, quick reduction in waiting time took shape. At the end of my career, I was offered a promotion.
It was my first official workplace. I was a part of a small team of 3 network engineers. We created and maintained a network of over 4000 customers. Providing wireless network with links reaching other cities and towns up to 40 km away. All of that using Microtik, Ubiquity software and equipment. We were not only playing with electronics but also rising mast and install appropriate infrastructure.
Gained experience with work on heights and safety measures related. My first customer service test with vide variety recipients went very well. I learned to adapt to situations and have an appropriate angle with business and ordinary clients. Being able to unleash my creativity I propose changes to customer identification which follows by network security skyrocketing as well as company revenues. I continue my journey in the company with more and less important initiatives, gaining recognition by firm owners.
